About the Camphill Medical Practice
Situated within the tranquil grounds of Murtle Estate, Bieldside on the outskirts of Aberdeen, the Camphill Medical Practice provides an integrated and holistic approach to individual and community healthcare where the needs of the whole person are taken into account. We combine conventional medicine with the complimentary use of natural and homeopathic medicines along with a range of therapies.
It is this close integration of conventional medicine with the holistic Anthroposophical Health Care model that that makes the CMP an exceptional practice.
At the CMP nurses, doctors and therapists work in close co-operation in order to form a unity of patient care that is often lacking in the quick fix world of today.
This approach places the uniqueness of the individual at the centre. The aim is not only to treat illness but to support and promote health, by recognising its physical, psychological, spiritual and social aspects.
The success of such an integrated and creative approach to health and healing was highlighted in 2001 when research by the University of London highlighted the success of Anthroposophical Medicine, as practised at Camphill and at other centres throughout the UK.
Anthroposophic medicine is practiced in over 80 countries worldwide but Camphill Medical Practice is the only integrated NHS practice in Scotland.
