Anthroposophical Health Care
Anthroposophical Health Care is an integrative and holistic health care model, based on the anthroposophical conception of the human being. It is available to the public in the fields of medicine and therapy, curative education and therapeutic social living.
Anthroposophic medicine is an integrative form of medicine, not an 'alternative medicine'. It aims to combine conventional medical treatments with herbal and homeopathic medicines and a range of Anthroposophic therapies, such as therapeutic art and speech, eurythmy (movement therapy), rhythmical massage and counselling.
- It acknowledges, respects and puts into practice the view of the human being as a being of body, soul and spirit.
- It acknowledges the influences of karma and destiny in health and illness.
- It acknowledges that every human being is a unique individual, requiring individualised health care and respect for their humanity and freedom.
Anthroposophical medicine is an extension of conventional medicine, not an alternative, making it a truly holistic approach to health care. It is integrated into the patient care at Camphill Medical Practice.
At the CMP nurses, doctors and therapists work in close co-operation in order to form a unity of patient care that is often lacking in the quick fix world of today.
