Additional Medical & Therapeutic Services.

Camphill Medical Practice is comprised of two arms: one is the service provided by the National Health Service; the other is the charity arm which provides the Additional Medical and Therapeutic Services.

It is the integration of these two arms within the holistic health care model that is Anthroposophical Health Care that makes the Camphill Medical Practice unique. The two arms work closely together to form a unity of patient care.

The CMP Charity makes this possible by employing our therapists and provides for our therapies to be accessible to all who need them, no matter what one can afford. They are currently not funded by the NHS. Whether you are on our patient list or are self-referred the fee structure and payment* is the same.

Therapeutic Services

The following therapies are available at Camphill Medical Practice. All our therapists are registered with the Council for Anthroposophical Health and Social Care, the regulatory body for safe practice in Anthroposophical Health Care. The CMP boasts a quality team who are highly experienced in their professional fields.

  • Anthroposophical Therapeutic Arts
    Anthroposophical Art Therapists can offer help in the areas of salutogenesis, illness prevention, therapeutic healing, rehabilitation with physical and emotional disturbances in acute and chronic conditions.
  • Eurythmy Therapy
    Eurythmy Therapy can be used in the treatment of more long-term conditions such as neurological complaints, allergies, asthma, pain management, psychological disorders, developmental problems, cancer and ME.
  • Anthroposophical Therapeutic Speech (ATS)
    It is beneficial in preventing and treating a wide variety of conditions such as respiratory disorders including asthma and chronic eczema, stress-related breathing disorders: panic, anxiety, hyperventilation and more. It can also help with developmental disturbances.
  • Rhythmical Massage Therapy
    As Rhythmical Massage acts to support the body’s own natural healing and regulating forces it can address many forms of illness and dis-ease.
  • Mistletoe Therapy
    The Camphill Medical Practice offers both medical and therapeutic facilities for the care and management of cancer. Viscum (Mistletoe) has been shown to stimulate and strengthen the immunological defence systems and thereby support the body in fighting the cancer

Associate Therapeutic Services

The following therapies are associate therapies with Camphill Medical Practice. Although they are not part of the practice team, doctors can refer patients to them.

 

*A bursary service is available for up to half the therapy fee, depending on your financial needs. Our Practice Manager will help you with any questions you have regarding payment for the therapies or how to obtain a bursary application.

Fees and Payment
*If you are patient on the CMP NHS list, there is no charge to you for NHS services. The therapies available at CMP are not funded by the NHS. They are financed exclusively by patient contributions and fund raising activities.
